It has been confirmed by MTV, Jersey Shore will return for a second season! According to the network, Pauly D, Mike, Snooki, Jenni, Sammi, Ronnie and Vinny escape the cold northeast and find themselves in a new destination.

MTV will not disclose how much the cast members will be paid, but we can assume they’ll get a nice signing bonus to go along with a few endorsements they’ve picked up. One website and source has it stated they’ll receive $10,000 per episode! Although not confirmed, one must assume tanning companies, hair products and t-shirt companies must want to sponsor this cast of misfits.

In December, the New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus called for MTV to cancel the show, saying it promotes derogatory ethnic stereotypes and is “wildly offensive.”

The dates of filming, location and airing of the new episodes has yet to be revealed.
